Chapin Furniture Company, 119 Clark Street. George Wessinger bought the old Chapin Red and White grocery store building in 1973. Wessinger began operating his furniture store in 1971 in what had been the Red and White building. He built the furniture store addition in what had been the Red and White parking lot in 1976. Portions of the building have been used for an outdoor furnishings store, a fashion exchange store, a sporting apparel shop, and a NASCAR store
