J.S. Wessinger and Sons General Store, 111 Lexington Avenue, dates to 1922 when Job S. Wessinger built it following a fire that the destroyed his original, two-story, frame building. Property was sold to Curtis M. Shealy in 1963. It has hoursed a Western Auto, a furniture store, as drug store , Wild Birds Unlimited, a gift shop, a flower shop and a real estate business.
